It was rumored in April and confirmed in June, but we still haven't seen a lot of what GoldenEye 007 for the Wii is to deliver. Until now, in the form of this multiplayer trailer. I'm excited, if for no other reason but nostalgia - but can GoldenEye still deliver the goods with its classic gameplay, despite the first person shooter genre's 13 year evolution since the original?

So, Jagged Alliance 3 is on the way, but to keep us entertained in the meantime will be Jagged Alliance 2: Reloaded. Due for release next year, bitComposer games is revamping the much loved sequel with improved visuals - a 3D graphic style in an isometric view - and it looks great. The interface has also been completely re-worked, but it's promised that the remake "will retain the tried-and-trusted game principle." Take a closer squiz at the screenshot of a before-and-after look at the game.

It'd be pretty cool to battle it out against your mate, who foolishly owns an opposing mobile platform to your own. And that's exactly what the guys over at OpenFeint think, too. For those who don't know, OpenFeint is a match-making and stats platform used by a whole heap of iPhone and Android games, including the justt released Monster Dash.

It's a bit Duke Nukem, it's a bit Gears of War, and it's kinda bad-ass. I'm not entirely sure yet if it's my type of game, because what I'd coin as 'mindless shooters' generally don't interest me, but this looks atmospheric, energetic, cinematic and down-right gorgeous. Forget my jaded ranting though, a demonstration of gameplay has been shown at GamesCom, so you can make up your own mind.

It has been rumored that Mass Effect 2 might make its way to the PlayStation 3. Despite BioWare's previous denial, they've let the cat out of the bag at Germany's GamesCom with the announcement that Mass Effect 2 will see a PlayStation 3 release in January of 2011.

From Brisbane developer Halfbrick, creator of Fruit Ninja, comes Monster Dash - a side-scrolling action game for the iPhone. For those that have played Canabalt, you'll have a reasonable idea of what's to be expected here. The core gameplay is that of a fast passed runner, forcing you to tap the screen to leap obstacles and indeed entire buildings. The twist here is that unlike Canabalt, you're not just running and jumping, you're running, jumping and gunning!

Dead Space 2 looks to carry on all of what was loved in the original, but rips us out of those claustrophobic corridors and sends us hurdling into daunting, vast and eerily silent space. For a while, at least. See for yourself in this space walk demonstration streamed from GamesCom.

March 8 has been revealed as the release date for BioWare's epic fantasy RPG, Dragon Age 2, which was accompanied by an excellent cinematic trailer. There's no gameplay footage involved, but I'm not sure you'll care - it's riveting stuff, I must say.

Prepare for a guided, albeit brief tour of some Crysis 2 multiplayer action - all the way from Gamescom in Germany. The gameplay itself, while seemingly vanilla, looks absolutely gorgeous. Nano-suit abilities such as scaling buildings with giant leaps, complete with animations of arms grabbing window ledges, is particularly impressive.
