    Battlefield 2 about to become worlds biggest online FPS

    CS has been dominant for years, with as many has 55,000 people playing across 30,000 availible servers.

    CSS then broke in, with about 20,000 playing, leaving CS with about 30,000. CoD moved into third with about 10,000.

    1 week after release, BF2 had immediately steamed towards the worlds most played online first person shooter, sitting in #3 behind CS and CSS.

    Now, it sits in second behind CS with 26,500 compared to CS's 27,500. Another few weeks, and Battlefield 2 will be the worlds most popular online first person shooter. It'll be the first game that has even come close to stealing the #1 spot in around 4 years.

    Quite a landmark event.

    Bah - it's because of the split userbase of CS and CSS

    But yeah - I know when I get home it'll be BF2 that I play, not CSS.

    CS and CSS had longetivity I dont think we will see replicated in the near future.

    But BF2 is so many steps ahead it deserves the no1 ranking.
    Meanwhile i'm still waiting for Stalker to come out one year

    Awersome... BF2 is really well done.. i been playing it for over 30 hours and im no where near bored of it.. Will keep my attention for a while

    I never had an issue with Steam either, bar downloads taking their sweet time occasionally.
