I've been modding my DS (-cough-), and I've set it up as my home theater. It plays all my music through my amplifier, I put it on my docking station so it's constantly charging while playing (doesn't die). The volume is good and it can hold as much MP3s as I can buy MicroSD cards for... so, up to 8GB. I'm only using a 6GB one though (since I can't find a 8GB MicroSDHC on eBay... that and I didn't bother).

With devices and things like these, I wonder why the iPod still exists!

Nintendo DS, M3 DS REAL, M3 DS REAL expansion RAM (slot-2)... looks like a regular Nintendo DS, besides I always have a stereo jack in it (either headphones or a stereo jack->stereo RCA convertor...

I can play...
  • NES games
  • SNES games
  • GBA games
  • GB/GBC games
  • NDS games
  • Homebrew!!
On my DS.
I can...
  • Connect to my home network
  • Browse the internet
  • Chat on MSN
  • Connect to people's access points (lol)
  • Run Linux
  • Watch movies or play MP3s with a variety of functions
All on my DS! When the SDHC specification gets even better, I'll be walking around with 32GB of music and games in my pocket! I have only 6GB and I'm still beating an iPod! What's even better is... there's a slot-2 device that takes CF cards... NUTS!

DS modding is so simple (if you even call it modding, more like using the console more efficiently) and I did it by buying one thing and copying my stuff onto a MicroSD card...
My DS feels more like a laptop!
