A few days ago we learnt that Rockstar's L.A. Noire was headed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with no exclusivity period for either platform. Hardly exciting news, unless you're a PlayStation 3 owner looking forward to it. Now though, thanks to the March 2010 issue of Game Informer, we've got some more goss...

Bethesda has announced that we'll see Fallout New Vegas before the end of year. They were also nice enough to deliver a teaser to get the hype machine rolling. To accompany that, a number of magazines hitting news stands right about now have many reveals about the game and have started being regurgitated at a number of forums and blogs. A interesting piece of Syndicate game art, seen here, has turned up at Ros Dearsley's blog. Dearsley has whipped up stunning works for a number of entertainment industry mediums including DC Comics, and indeed the games industry with Electronic Arts for the now-canned Road Rash reboot.
The piece in question aids anticipation for the IP's return, which was first discovered with leaked script documents late last year. There's no news yet of what genre the 1993 cyberpunk hit's sequel will be, or what platform it might appear on, but I'm waiting with bated breath to finally hear some official details on the upcoming title.
In the comments section of a Game Informer post with word of an L.A. Noire preview, editor Matthew Kato puts the big question to rest, "It's not a PS3-exclusive". So, there you have it. This highly anticipated detective tale from Rockstar will reach both major core gamer console platforms.
When the issue in question hits newsstands, if you don't pick it up, keep your ear out for some article quotes and clever paraphrasing. It's sure to be a big deal, and shouldn't be missed.

It's back to roots for Sega's Sonic. After a decade of disappointments, the developer has taken a hint and is shifting focus back to what made the franchise and it's star character so iconic. The game will officially be known as Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, poised as a direct sequel to 1994's Sonic & Knuckles, and will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and WiiWare sometime mid year.

So, the demo is out, and by now at least some of you will have had the opportunity to have a quick game. I imagine most of you are probably feeling something similar to me, which is disappointment. However, despite the multiplayer demos short comings I think there's some fun to look forward to with the retail release...
I'm all for increased entertainment immersion, and I have a particular interest in getting accurate drives, rides or flights out of their respective games. MotoGP lead designer Greg Bryant seems to agree, and has spoken to CVG about the title's future plans. "We haven't looked into Natal yet for MotoGP 09/10, but we're definitely going to be looking into it for MGP 10/11 because I personally think the future for that application is through head tracking in racing games"...

And the critics say that developers are running out of ideas. From Trials HD developer RedLynx, Ovi Maps Racing is mobile gaming ingenuity at its niftiest. And strangely, but awesomely, it's free for its Symbian users (such as the N97). The premise is that Ovi grabs GPS and satellite map data, and lets the user choose a racing circuit based on this. Check out the video for the official presentation.

The Playstation Network has followed hot on the heels of the Xbox 360, with DICE announcing the availability of the demo for download. While I'm sure most of the readers here would rather play a BC2 demo on the PC, and indeed the final game on the PC, this news does signal something for us to get excited about...
Absolutely it will.

Go get DOSBox: DOSBox, an x86 emulator with DOS
