• Counter-Strike: Global Offensive cross-platform play excludes Xbox 360

Less than a week ago we reported on the possibility of the recently announced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive enabling cross-platform play between consoles and PC. Kotaku has now published a hands-on article stating that it's a feature of the game and hadn't suggested there was any doubt of its implementation.

Unfortunately for Xbox 360 players, they'll be excluded due to its lack of Steam integration and inability to use anything except the Xbox 360 controller. PS3, Mac and PC players will be match-made against each other based on skill. To level the playing field somewhat, PlayStation 3 players will be able to put down their controller and plugin a keyboard and mouse, or even use the PlayStatiojn Move motion controller.

Oh, and here's the official trailer from Valve...

Yep. Unreal Tournament 3, and now CS:GO both support a keyboard and mouse on the PS3.

SH*T!!! I've had UT3 since I got my PS3, 3 years ago and I find out now that it can use KB and Mouse...... I'm excited but bitterly depressed at the same time.

the game looks too much the same to warrant a pc purchase as far as i'm concerned. the ps3 how ever is looking mighty tasty with the added mouse + kb support as it's the most used platform in the house. you would think BF3 and the new CoD would have done the same : /

I did some reading and they said that the kb&m for UT3 was sluggish due to hardware emulation. Anyone actually used the kb&m in UT3? If this was to occur in CS:GO on the PS3 it would be taken less seriously than it already is.
