Ubisoft to enforce internet dependency for games

It has been reported by GameSpy that Ubisoft are about to instigate anti-piracy measures that are sure to irk a huge number of customers. The launch of their new proprietary system will aim to manage its community with Ubi.com accounts, and require players be connected to the internet to even play their games...

It's not all bad, though. You'll be able to play your games with a disc for authentication, and be granted unlimited installations; "If you own a hundred PCs, you can install your games on a hundred PCs," said Brent Wilkinson, Director, Customer Service and Production Planning at Ubisoft.
