• Pre-loading begins for Mass Effect 2

    For those of you with Mass Effect 2 pre-orders on Steam; it's time to get pre-loading! Valve have published an update letting us know that Mass Effect 2 is now available in select countries in Europe, and while I purchased my copy from the UK Steam store, mine strictly still said "No yet released" and has commenced "Pre-loading", not downloading. If anyone else has having a different experience, be sure to leave us a comment in this article.

      I used a remote desktop connection on my iPhone to get it going.

      I have Windows Live Mesh but haven't set up the remote properly yet. Ah well.

      File size is 12.7G, this could take a while to download !

      2 hours 35 minutes on a decent connection.

      Almost half way there. Will be ready when I get home - if only I could play it. Maybe it'll have unlocked for me by then.

      Took just under 3 hours for me. Will start BC2 before heading off to work ready for when I get home. Could be an all nighter tomorrow.

      mine was pre-loading all night, was still only 80% this morning.

      apparently unlocks in under two hours though, woo
