Playstation 3 hacked, exploit made public

On the 22nd of January, word spread like wild-fire that George Hotz had hacked the Playstation 3. This is the same man who we can thank for being able to jailbreak the iPhone. While exciting for homebrew creators and users, as well as many others, it didn't really mean much until released...

Today, Hotz did, "In the interest of openness, I've decided to release the exploit. Hopefully, this will ignite the PS3 scene, and you will organize and figure out how to use this to do practical things, like the iPhone when jailbreaks were first released. I have a life to get back to and can't keep working on this all day and night."
