• Ovi Maps Racing for Nokia

And the critics say that developers are running out of ideas. From Trials HD developer RedLynx, Ovi Maps Racing is mobile gaming ingenuity at its niftiest. And strangely, but awesomely, it's free for its Symbian users (such as the N97). The premise is that Ovi grabs GPS and satellite map data, and lets the user choose a racing circuit based on this. Check out the video for the official presentation.

Now that's cool. Id love to see this extrapolated to PC with good physics and uprated graphics.

I dunno - I kinda like the idea of racing on streets near wherever I'm sitting at a bus stop, or at a restaurant. Choosing a random location from the comfort of your own home would still be cool, but it just wouldn't hold the same novelty.

Id buy it without a doubt, there are so many streets around here that I'd love to race on but for obvious reasons cannot :p
