• StarCraft II closed beta is live

    The news that Blizzard would likely kick-off their StarCraft II beta program this month has solidified. It has now been officially announced that the closed beta test for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is in motion, with invitations being sent to “thousands of gamers.”

    So, if you're a member of the new Battle.net with your beta preferences setup, check your e-mail to see if you're one of the lucky first batch...

    Here are the beta PC specifications:

    • Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/Windows 7
    • 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
    • 1 GB system RAM/1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7
    • 128 MB NVidia GeForce 6600 GT/ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card
    • 1024×768 minimum display resolution
    • 4 GB free hard space (Beta)
    • Broadband connection

      I've been able to login using both the US and the KR mirrors, fyi.

      But unfortunately I wasn't picked in this initial round.
