Super Street Fighter IV to deliver arcade-style tournaments

One of the biggest disappoints with Street Fighter IV was the match-making options for online multiplayer. It seems Capcom have been listening, and are set to deliver a much needed and welcomed revamp with Super Street Fighter IV. They've dubbed it the 'tournament manager', and any player can host a tournament. You can even setup a console to host a tournament without participating in it...

Those waiting for their turn will be able to spectate the match being fought, and voice chat with other spectators. The format of tournaments will 4 or 8 players, and be single elimination. Capcom even plan to run official tournaments with unique trophies. Oh, and before you ask; no - this DLC isn't compatible with vanilla Street Fighter IV, and they don't plan to release it for it.

The tournament manager won't be available with the retail release however, but will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 15 as a free download. I personally will simply be waiting until that date to purchase the game.
