• Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed trailer arrives

    Need for Speed Shift 2 has just been announced, dubbed "Unleashed", and comes with this shiny teaser trailer as well. Most people who played the first seemed to really quite like it. It looked great, and for the most part drove great too. Expect the sequel to race into stores Q1 2011.

      The original was released in September of 2009, and this isn't due until March 2011. That's 18 months - not sure why it would be "too soon".

      hot pursuit has been out for a day. and yes i know they are different game styles but seriously 3-4 months isn't long enough

      This isn't a Hot Pursuit sequel.

      Need for Speed is now a brand, not a game.

      I agree this is bad marketing. Give it 6 months between any variety of NFS releases.

      The new hot pursuit is a rebadged burnout game isn't it??

      I'm not too excited about it. Looks too much of an arcade style racer.

      Steering is very twitchy in Shift, gets annoying with fast cars doing spins. I can barely even drive the Mclaren F1 or Veyron. Maybe I need more practice? :p
