ID:	596540 Just under an hour ago, Treyarch sent a new PC patch live. While an official announcement of what it addresses has not been made, it was previously disclosed that it would address long shader compile times on Nvidia 4 series cards and other FPS optimizations, as well as CPU optimizations and a Zombie matchmaking fix.

Many users are reporting a dramatic drop in CPU usage, as well as a dramatic increase in frames. Some say their issues with the game have been resolved in its entirety while others, despite the improvements, say that the hitching and stuttering remains. Personally, my frames are now through the roof, but I'm still experiencing periods of frame lag.

Gamers-Underground.com servers have now been updated and restarted, so if your client is now up-to-date, jump on and let us know what improvements you're seeing.

Strange thing yesterday. I jumped onto a couple of servers and no lag or glitching (never had the FPS error as bad as others), went on to one of my favourite servers with Nuketown Fast XP and it was fantastic. The map is just so hectic there is no time to think. Played for a solid two hours without a glitch. Went back on later that evening and it was back to normal. Game play at times was almost like a cartoon flick book it was stuttering that much.
Wish they would hurry up, a bit of further reading shows that the glitch/stuttering and FPS is affecting Nvida cards more than ATi

Ratty, another interesting point is that whilst i was on everyone on the server showed pings under 85/90...When i went back on later there were a few in the plus 100/150 range. I have found that things get worse when there are high pings on the server.
Keep in mind though this is not allways the case just another quirk that appears......

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta impressions
    by rec
I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
