• Bad Company 2 gets patched for Vietnam

    Bad Company 2: Vietnam is merely a fortnight away. I personally had no intentions of buying it given my dislike for the Frostbite engine's "clunk", but at merely $15 on Steam, how can I say no? In preparation for the expansion's release, DICE have served up a 2.5GB patch - yes, 2.5GB - which updates any version of bad Company 2 to R10, and includes all the relevant framework for Vietnam.

      I have a few agreements and disagreements by what you mean by "clunk" but I get what you mean. But, wewt, is gonna be fun nonetheless.

      Earlier we reported on the huge patch that hit Battlefield: Bad Company 2 today, saying that it was in preparation for the upcoming map pack and Vietnam expansion. Now DICE have revealed the dates for both releases. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam will be available on December 18th and VIP Map Pack 7 will be out tomorrow. There?s a new trailer below showing off some of the locales we?ll be getting in the new map pack.

      Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam is available now on the EA store for ?9.99/$14.99. Tomorrow?s map pack will be completely free.

      I reinstalled Bad Company 2 last night, and I'm not even sure I'll bother playing Vietnam, despite buying it. I forgot just how awkward the movement mechanic is, and how shallow the FOV is. You sort of feel like a downy being sent into battle.

      Well the trailer is more realistic to what we would be getting. Actual contains alot of in game footage.
