It's worth noting that CD Projekt's The Witcher 2 has been released. It's obviously the sequel to the first game of the same name which prominently featured a strong storyline and collectable boob cards that went along with Geralt's achievements.
Australia still lacking a R18+ rating for games has meant that the game has been somewhat censored in Australia. In the UK the game was rated 18+ and has not been changed in any way. Even though the changes are limited to a single quest, it's still an indication that there's something very broken with Australia's gaming classifications system.
Once again Australia has been shafted for prices with the game being priced at $74.99 on Steam, $69.99 on Good Old Games and $88.00 at EB Games. The US has TW2 on GOG and Steam at $49.99, and selling in the UK on Steam for 34.99GBP and 29.99GBP on GOG.
Recently Good Old Games made the move to stop a user's region being based on their IP address because they came to the conclusion "that there are a number of issues with using a customer's IP address to determine what offer they are being presented with from GOG.com. A good number of users can find themselves negatively impacted by a policy of using geo IP to set their region." So instead they leave it up to the users themselves to set their current region.
