By the way this is no way intended a flame or anything
Seeing as this is the main thread for LAN's,
I have been hacing a think at work this morning, want to know everyones opinions, mainly the older gamers here.
A lot of you would remember the big informal lans we used to have, my most memorable few would be the lans at the Carlton, or the 1 *week* long lan we had at the demountable at CDU... those were the good old times.
It's just lately it seems that some lans are lacking somewhat. DGA does a great job organising these lans and absolutely nothing wrong there. What im talking about is how for one lan we could all happily play one game because it was a lot of fun to play - IE Battlefield when it first came out. Could it be of the increased amount of games coming into the market, there is more of an option for lan games played or what? Developers aren't putting much thought into the gameplay of their games, as im finding now with myself and others games are becoming less and less involving, you get bored with them after a while...I dont know, may be thinking too much over this, but can anyone notice the same thing?
