I am very keen for some BF2 action at DGA, but the organisers want to hold a Comp so I put it forward to you, would you like a comp or freeplay

Reason there wont be enough players to hold a comp, average player per side is 12-14 :eek: yes..that what I thought

I will be bring my famous server ;p it will have BF2 setup and autorecord.

I agree with what you've said elsewhere - too early to have an organised comp, so let's just have fun learning, and either allocate a large block of time to play it, or just let it be known that your server is going to be running 24/7 for whoever wants to join (and I imagine that would be most people catered for, for most of the LAN - except me, cos I hate BF - not that I've played it yet.)

Because of Howie :-) I have a copy of BF2 which I will be loading and playing with before the next LAN. Who knows - I might actually like it!

I will have a back up server as well.

I just want to play freeplay, I still haven't played all the maps and it would be fun to have a fast 20 minute rotation so I could have a few games with low ping bastards instead of all these europeans we are getting on node.

I will chat too matt (Soloman) tonight regarding the comp.

I agree with all said above, and saying a comp would be silly. I say this not as a DGA person but as a friend of matt, who I give advice too from time too time.

so the poll confuses me slightly. its asking for opinions on who exactly should run the comp, not whether or not a comp should be held.

anyway: i personally agree. too early for a comp. however, whats the general feeling about adding it to the timetable? and what sort of times would you guys like to see bf2 played?

6hours should do it on the timetable.

Im all for a comp
I love competing, heck we dont have to know the game well to compete, it dosnt have to be a serious comp.
could pick smaller maps and have 5-6 aside.
Guess its up to the comp admin and what he feels is best.

Looking forward to some freeplay if i mate it to this lan.
