    Seeking Sponsorship/Advertising Partner

On the behalf of DGA I am looking for someone with time on their hands to help me out with DGA sponsorship and Advertising. This job requires someone with maturity and that lives in Darwin. This will be an on going role with DGA. I'm looking for someone with good people skills and of 18years or older. This will be your sole job with the DGA committee. If you think you can take this job on please PM me. I would then like to have an informal conversation about the position.

The position basically entitles getting a list together of possible sponsorship businesses, getting in contact, negotiating deals and then maintaining contact with the business. Heaps of communication is involved phone calls, emails and constantly keeping everyone on the DGA committee informed. You will be working along side with me, the job is a committee commitment and does not require you to help out in DGA events (unless you want to). I need help with this job as I already have a heap of other commitments with DGA.

Remember this is a voluntary position. You do not have to of had heaps to do with DGA in the past. I just need someone to help me do the job

Please PM or add me to MSN if you are interested.

I felt like bumping this up, because basically if Evo is going to go ahead and break numbers in attendance. We really need to start pimping out the DGA EVO 6 Event to people and everyone.

Eg. That new lan cafe in the city hub would be a good place to start.

So really people need to help out here. I would, but I'm not there yet

One reasonable avenue of exposure is the free suburban newspaper that ends up in everyone's mailbox....you could approach the producers of it and either simply do an insert, which usually costs you $20-$30 per 1000, or perhaps approach from a community angle and ask if they can do it for you at a reduced cost. It is a good cheap form of blanket advertising, however it could be argued that you may not reach your ideal target audience.
TV would of course be the best method, but it is expensive unless Channel 9 were to "donate" some air time to DGA, and then I suppose you have the inherent risk of seeing Eater's mug pop up on the tv while you're having dinner.
Print fliers and ask every computer retailer in Darwin and Palmerston to sit them on their counters - or better yet, ask them to put one in every customer's purchase. They can only say no.
