Thread: Big Thanks

big thanks goes out to wendy (w00p) first of all. for those who arnt in the DGA comittee forums you wouldnt be aware that wendy almost single handley organised and rallied the DGA troops up in preperation for this evo. if she didnt step up and start doing things then evo would of been dismal in my eyes.

so i personaly would like to give her a big thanks and thank her for taking chaege and doing a tremendous job.

that being said there were also other helpers. im not going to name them casue ill feel bad if i forget names. all the DGA admins and officials that turned up and helped. all the helpers we got onboard. and all the gamers that attened and lent a hand. also thanks to the sponsors. and last of all to everyone that came and played.

i hope you guys all had fun, i did. and even overdrive did in the end there which made me happy cause his sooking was starting to bug me

it was a pleasure to help out tho i am still getting over the lack of sleep part and am sooooo happy that my fingers no longer smell like onions. If i can arrange it i will be back next time to help out again - thanks to everyone for being so patient with a first timer !!!!!!!!!!!!

I would also like to add my weight (100.2745kg) to the "thanks to the volunteers" mission.

You may think you are paying for a service or something when you go to a gig like the DGA LANs, but if you calculated all the time that people put into organising such things in the background you would pay a lot more.

I remember speaking to Woop late one night as she sat up bleary eyed tying up all those nice lanyards you guys were wearing!!!

w00p works way to hard to get these lans organised for us, I have told her this before, but she seems to be one of those weird people who like a challenge. DGA is very fortunate to have her otherwise there would probally be no lans at all.

Also a big thanks to my old work SBA Office National for supplying the projector, with which we err projected stuff, all of you should shop there for your office needs (no seriously you should - they are holding a gun to my head as I write this so please, PLEASE!! For the love of god do it!!).

Thanks to everyone of the volunteers who helped out.

Great Evo and it would appear lotsa fun was had by all.

Thanks to DGA and related helpers for putting on this event. It is worth sparing a thought and thanks for those that volunteer their time to try and make these events fun for everyone.
