Thread: DGA 40 - Its Finally Here

Darwin Gamers Associated DGA 40

Time - 10am Saturday 30th - 10am Sunday 1st October

Venue - Darwin Bridge Club (Leanyer Drive, Leanyer)

Numbers - 40 people. This is a SET number if you do not CONFIRM when you register you WILL be turned away at the door.

Costing - $10 members $15 non members

Well it has come that we move backwards to move DGA forwards. We are back to almost where we started. Darwin Bridge Club has welcomed us back with open arms and we are going to take it full on.
With this DGA we are going no frills. There will be no timetable, there will be no games suggestions. This LAN will be for the gamers, run by the gamers. We will provide you everything you require to have a good time, however what you so whilst there will be your decision.
DGA Will provide you as many dedicated servers as we can muster, and it will be down to you whether they are filled or not.

A little on what we are working on for the future. In conjunction with our sponsor internode, DGA will be providing internet at all LAN's in the not to distant future.
We are also looking at a point structured competition run across multiple LAN's. This will be based off team games and the winner will walk away with cash and prizes.

So without further delay head over to the website (www.darwingamers.org) and register now, as numbers are limited so get in quick to not miss out on the start of a new breed of LAN for the top end.

Tell me, I paid for my membership last year at the last Evo but didn't get a chance to use my free LAN entry yet, and my membership has since expired. ^_^' I remember reading about memberships being extended, but would this hold right for me as well?

Is this a temp new residence or ya settling down here for a bit?

Sounds good anyway nothing wrong with a smaller 40 person lan

membership has been extended, but unfortunately we can't grant free entry at this lan due to reduced numbers. we have to make our money to pay for the venue, etc.

Good work guys, I feel DGA needed to do this. Build it back up again.

40.. Damn I feel old
Sad to see DGA has to step back a bit again, but like Coco said, best of luck with it and hope everything goes well. 40 man lans are much more fun anyway imo.

where 'gamer' and 'dinosaur' are totally interchangeable terms.
