It's available tomorrow on Steam. I'll consider a purchase after I've seen some reviews.

    Re: Command&Conquer 4

Sounds like what I've come to expect from the franchise.

    Making a difference.

This sort of explains why the series got progressively worse...

Joe Kucan, Command & Conquer director and man behind Kane has revealed the legendary RTS series' big secret: "we made it all up as we went along".

"We don't like to admit this," the never-serious head of Nod told CVG last week, "the truth about Command & Conquer is that we never really planned on a giant, sweeping arc of a story that would create canon from one game to the other.

"We knew we'd created holes that we needed to fill, so we just made it up as we went along. There was really no grand, sweeping plan and I think that's what made it so much fun."

Kucan said that while EA's left a lot of unanswered questions for players at the end of the "final" C&C instalment, he doesn't know anything. "Whenever I kind of wink and nod and say, 'yeah, I know what's going on', I'm lying through my teeth. I don't have the slightest idea," he said.

"I don't know who Kane is, where Kane came from, what he wants or where he's going. We just make it up as we go along and let the players sort it all out.

"But don't tell anybody that! This is just between us, right?"
