    Game recommendations

    Hi all,

I feel terrible having to admit this, after being away in Adelaide for a few months I haven't played any games since early December, being unwell, I really haven't kept up to date with anything, Am I even still a gamer? I don't feel worthy?

Well now that I am finally home and blown the cob webs out my desktop PC and am confident it is ready to get back into action I need to throw a few new games at it.

So what I need is now is inspiration, what is a must have I have been missing, the last new game I fired up was COD_MW2 and it blew my mind, I like FPS and car games like grid, my specs are in my sig. My first thought is Battlefield_BC2.

    Thanks in advance,
    Darren.

Bad Company 2 is where it's at for multiplayer. For single player, grab Mass Effect 2 and Metro 2033.

Is BC2 any good as single player?

I'm *loving* just cause 2 for singleplayer at the moment - shows GTA how sandboxes SHOULD be done.

something awesome about being chased by a cop on a motorbike, so you jump onto the roof of your car, attach a grappling hook to the bike then hook it to the car, jump back into the drivers seat and go nuts

Just played the Just Cause 2 demo on the PS3. That is bloody fun! Reminds me quite a lot of Crackdown on the 360 in many ways.

I won't be purchasing it though. The story is hollow and voice acting/characters are appallingly bad. As fun as it is wandering around and blowing shit up by yourself, it's not enough to to hold me. It really feels like a multiplayer game through-and-through. But it's not. And it needs to be.

I'll keep my eye out for Just Cause 3.

*best* thing about JC2 is the grappling hook - attaching anything to anything is awesome fun but i agree about MP - they've suggested it will be in a following release too

Never really had the itch fo multiplayer except in small LAN's but BC2 multiplayer sounds convincing enough for my to give it a go.
