Question Has anyone bought Blizzard's Battle.Net Authenticator before?

    details here

It's also available for download on mobile phones but I'm interested in the real deal for $6.50?

I couldn't get to the US support web page for a SC2 theme though.

Got the mobile phone one first for the nokia N95 and then for the iphone.
Just a note make sure you record your serial number as if you have any problems with your authenticator having the serial number makes it a lot easier to get it removed from your account(there is one on the phone version too).

    Lenko where are you.

It won't let me download it on my phone... I got Samsung B2700 and L-760s

I'm buying another pair of B2700s soon. I can throw them at stupid Sydney 4WDrivers and hurt them without hurting the phone.

I can't download the mobile phone version and have sent a tech support message to blizzard. I might have to buy a couple of Authenticators instead. How much did it cost for a pair to ship to Au and how long did it take? It gets associated with the CD keys to your WoW and SC2 account right? But what if the other authenticator is going to a friend?

The authenticators are associated with your Battlenet account - therefore any games that are associated with the battlenet account will require them. The keys can be associated once to any account - by punching in the serial number on the back of them, when going through the process in your Battlenet account management.

Price wise; they cost about $10 (from memory) to ship to AU. Took about a week and a half.

One thing to keep in mind however; if you lose the authenticator you're in a world of support related hurt, trying to get the authenticator removed.
That hasn't happened to me yet, but what has happened before (and most recently) is going to a LAN and leaving the fucking thing at home :p

If you record the serial number you save youself a lot of time removing the authenticator.

If you have the Android one, Titanium Backup from the market can back it up and restore it to a new phone without having to remove it from your account and re-add it. Saves a lot of hassle with my HD2 where I'm swapping roms so often as things get improved.
