    3G is WCDMA.

    Milly, your dad will need to get a 3G phone, but will still have the same coverage, if not better.

    CDMA has a wider coverage because it is alot cheaper to install then GPRS and has a "lesser" quality.

    RakeR when yousaid 2.5 years were you refering to Australia or Darwin?
