    I just posted a youtube vid link and it didn't auto add the media or video tags. Had to manually add em.
    GU - giving everyone the freedom to post whatever they want...
    so long as we can all pay them out if they missed an earlier thread on the same topic!

    Make sure the video you're trying to embed actually allows embedding.

    I'm confused. Some YouTube videos do not allow embedding from their end is what I mean. In which case it will show up as a link. Otherwise, posting YouTube links has always auto-converted so far (as per mine above). Unless you remove the www, or replace the www with au or uk (region specific).

    GameTrailers is a good one - forgot about that. Will find some code.
