Thread: Help with value sell value of a PS3

Hey guys, wondering if some of you could help me out with a question.

I've been considering selling a PS3 phat with 120gb hdd, 1 controller and no AV cable and firmware 3.01.

I read this firmware allows linux to be installed but I don't know if anyone does that or if it would increase the potential sell value. Would appreciate what you guys think it would be worth!

I doubt it would increase the sale value at all, and after a quick search around on sales sites I can't find any evidence to suggest otherwise. Sorry bud.

Cool, thanks rec. Yeah I wasn't sure if Sony was like Apple and made it a pain to downgrade firmware or anything like that. Guess I'll just put it up for the same as other units.
