Well I've just about finished Penny Arcade volume 6: The Halls Below and I have to say, I am disappoint. Not because I don't like the franchise, or the work they do (because i most assuredly do), but because this volume feels really cheap compared to its predecessors.

The 5 volumes prior managed to fit 2 comics to a page in most instances, this one frequently drops to 1 per page with a ton of white space (or some random bit of art from an earlier strip in the book). There's also quite a few pages taken up with horribly blown up frames from strips in the book as well. At a guess I'd say at least 10 pages are wasted this way.

I can't help but wonder if their love for DLC is spilling into their own products, because it feels like this book is waiting for DLC to populate quite a few of the pages within.

Anyway, still a good [re]read, just.. overly short.
