    Melbourne Cup!

    Anyone got any hot tips they want to share? I've decided to box 6 horses.

    My picks are:

    1. Shocking
    3. So You Think
    8. Americain
    11. Descarado
    20. Precedence
    24. Maluckyday

    I've got a couple of stand-bys depending on the track. If it stays wet I'm thinking of subbing in 6. Mr Medici and 7. Shootout for Shocking and Precedence.

    I'm also considering 12. Harris Tweed instead of Precendence for a drier track.

    What are other folks thinking?

    Well my trifecta came in so I did ok. Not a massive windfall, but a healthy return on my investment.

    I had the same Trifecta as you bar one horse, pays me about $50 I think. That with the win I had in race 6 makes me only $20 down still

    (I went a bit mad on E/W bets this year)
