Relation to name isn't always paramount. Look at the Nike tick, Adidas stripes, the Pepsi swirl or one of many car manufacturer logos.
if it's anything like the old csm logo, it's probably "the colours represent the spectrum of communications options we offer, the circle is like.. unity.. us... and all that, so it represents binding us all together through communication technology" or some other airy-fairy bullshit![]()
Absolutely, Aegis. In this case what you have is a circle, signifying the globe, which leads to connotations of connectivity. Then aiding that connotation are the strokes of colour stretching this "globe", signifying diversity.
But relevant to their name or not, it's still a rubbish logo.![]()
