Someone nicked 1000 bucks out of my Bank of America account, not online, through some card swipe scanner shit... Currently in the process of reversing the shit. But fuck, I'm about to travel in 8 weeks and supposedly this reversal process can take up to 45 days :*(

That's shit man. We're extremely lucky in Australia - because that sort of fraud is rampant abroad, especially in the UK and Europe.

I knew four Australian couples while living in the UK, and by the time we came home all of us had been affected by fraud in one form or another.

Personally, someone was using my debit card details to pay for their Voda pre-paid top-ups. Interesting use, but I guess they hoped it would go unnoticed.

Yes, Bank of America are evil, but they were one of the few to accept me during the GFC :/ Buts its my understanding that, while we hate our banks, they treat us far better and do a better job than any of the banks over here.
