    i have noticed for around 2 weeks or so now, optus ping on the sole wc3 server is shocking. like im talking constantly above 120ping.

    i have finished playing a map and recorded a max of 645ping and min of 78ping with an average of 220 ping or so.

    'what the'?

    is this an optus problem, gu server problem or what? anyone know?

    looks like the optus website is having problems though

    well im on 512dsl in perth and i get my constant 80-120 on GU servers and 30 on local, so im guessing its on your/optuses end. or sumthing to do with the cable network in general.

    I am on Telstra Broadband ADSL for another... few days. Generally, I get pretty good ping. I am jelous of those few people who get less than 40. Cos I get about 70+

    if u play on local svers u should get 40 or less. come play ET on the eftel server with me and ull see my constant 35 or so

    Its a problem with Optus is my guess as i have adsl (believe it or not) and my pings have been really bad, they constantly flux from 66 to over to 300 and when i do a trace route to see if my provider TPG is stuffing me around i found out that it was an Optus server that was lagging me out as it was returing pings of 600 plus...... :x

    well thas is all i gotta say on this little subject i just hope Optus finds and fixes the problem as i am lagging at the most inappropriate times lately :wink:

    ps pardon my poor grammer it is way to early in the morning for me :wink:

    or maybe cause heaps of people online i mean my internet company
