Thread: HOW DO I GET TO BE AN ADMIN?

do i have to pay to be admin? or do you go into a fourm? i dunno NEED TO KNOW HOW TO KICK HACKERS :x HATE ALL HACKERS :x

Simple answer. No. And to any other following questions the resulting answer should be No.

I don't get why new ppl just think they can magically get admin :?

Someone needs to put a sign on the news page, like alot of stores do in terms of credit, "don't ask for admin, you might get offended if refused"

if admin powers are given out that easily then servers will prolly be empty, due to excessive admin abuse.

I think its just plain lame cause when n00bs ask about how to be full

but the people that are admins are people that have been playing

on the GU servers for years such as hawkeye his been for 2 years i think

well thats what he told me about being an admin.

To be an admin is not as much it is made out to be. Yes you do have the power to kick/ban/change map/write c_say/etc..etc.etc...
But with power also comes resposibility....A good admin only flexes his power as a last resort, not to slap/kick/ban someone that has just killed him/her, or for any personal gain.
We (The Admin) may control the servers, but we still have to make it enjoyable for people that want to play them, so abuse of admin powers is a surefire way to get people unhappy and the server will get a bad name.
We don't want GU servers to have a bad name because we genuinely care about the people who choose to lay on them.

Take note of this passage from the great book.....

Matthew 5:38-42

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Now if you cannot understand these words, you will never understand what it is to be an admin.
