um well the server will be updating to 1.6 soon and so will ever single cs server. so u will have to im afraid!

i wish i didnt update so soon. anyway im sure ull like 1.6 there are some things people hate but all the maps and graphics are way better than 1.5.

so if i were u, id wait and play 1.5 until cs 1.6 is updated on the GU servers. however i wanna play 1.6 with people so. ill try and persuade u to get 1.6 because then i can prac at using it. others will be so noobie when changing over to 1.6

It doesnt overwrite your original install of CS, so you can still play 1.5 after having installed 1.6.

it did overwrite my cs.

theres no hl.exe and no counter-strike.exe

in steam it has hl.exe but when run, it starts cs 1.6 and when i try and join a 1.5 server it says some error with my steam id

like server steam id error (96) something like this

For now WonID is not scraped and when you install Steam you can play 1.6 from steam and 1.5 from your original installation of Half-life or CS Retail but when Steam eats up WonID, then there is no choice but to play 1.6 or you can play 1.5 on Lan?
