Telstra beefs up Android/iOS/Smartphone plans before iPhone 4 launch

Telstra listening to their customers, and delivering good mobile plans and good broadband plans? Hell has frozen over.

There were a lot of complaints that despite otherwise being good, Telstra's new consumer plans had too little data. So they went right ahead and doubled the quota:

Serving up more data you can use - iPhone 4 plans, Telstra iPhone Data, iPhone Post Paid Price, iPhone 3GS, Smartphones, HTC Desire, Nokia N97, Telstra Pricing, Telstra Plans | Telstra Exchange

Read the fine print... it ends on November 1st.

^Bonus data offer available 30 July-1 November 2010 unless extended by Telstra. Offer available to new or re-contracting customers who purchase an iPhone 3G S, iPhone 4, HTC Desire or Nokia N97 mini on a Next G™ Cap Plan or Ultimate II Plan ($55 or above) for 24 months. Offer not available on Business Plans.

I'm on a business plan and so I don't get it, however I can't complain. On the Business caps excess data can be taken out of your unused credit. So based on the amount of calls and SMS I make I get about 1.4G each month

Yeah was aware of the end date.

I'm on Telstra business plan (not cap), so it doesn't effect me either, but I still think it's awful that Telstra are starting to turn things around.
