Question 64bit browsing - anyone trying?

    Internet Explorer 9 32 bit (x86) vs. IE9 64 bit (x64)

Today, we look at IE9 Beta (x86-64) vs. (x86) performance benchmarks. With the recent Flash Player release for 64 bit systems, it?s time to find out, how good (or not) 64-bit web browser really is.

    System:
    Intel Core2Duo E6750 @ 2.6 GHz
    4 GB RAM

    Software:
    Windows 7
    Internet Explorer 9 Beta

IE9 64bit here - Download details: Windows Internet Explorer 9 Beta for Windows 7 64-bit Edition and Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit Edition

You can get 64bit Firefox now from here: Firefox Nightly Builds

The latest 64bit Firefox Minefield build just crashes repetitively (on a fresh Win 7 64bit install). IE9 is working nicely though, surprisingly.

Big jump there, but Firefox is being slowed by things other than Javascript - primarily its interface.
