Remember when Blackberry maker RIM announced a tablet it said would be "better than iPad"? It's finally shown it off - and it may have a point.
The firm has released a video which it says proves its PlayBook browses the web much faster than Apple's marvel - and you can see it below.
That's not where the Apple-baiting ends, however. Speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco this week, RIM CEO Jim Balsillie dismissed 'apps' as the future - saying that people would rather use a faster, browser-based system to get to their content.
He claimed that users generally "don't need an app for the web".
"There's still a role for apps," Balsillie said, "but can you use your existing content? Can you use your existing web assets? Do you need a set of proprietary tools to bring existing assets onto a device, or can you use known tools that you use for creating websites?"
Balsillie claimed that this approach helped PlayBook be "three or four times" faster for browsing the web than iPad. Judge for yourselves:
