    Netgear DG834N - Modulation

Hey guys anyone had experience with this modem/router. Never had an issue with it till now. Was on the phone with internode for an hour but no joy other than we will check with telstra for congestion.
My line sync speed should be around 17000/18000 with ADSL 2 and proximity to the exchange.
I have notice since changing to the SOHO pack it is down to 13000. Running speed test puts me between a 1500 and 8mb line....
The only thing I cant check on the modem is modulation, I know you can telnet into but even with google I cant find any documentation on it.....any ideas

Look for some custom firmware by a group called DG Team, I run it on my DGN2000 (They have a few different ones) and made a HUGE difference in both overall speed and stability.

More often than not when change to any of the new high end Telstra plans you are automatically changed to adsl 1 which is a max of 8mb, give them a call and get them to double check you are still on adsl 2 and make sure you restart your modem since plan change.

This happened to me at home and work.

Cheers guys, looks like its down to a Telstra issue. One day i'm syncing at 17565 the next 14340 and whatever the line sync the fluctuations are big....
