Well, I have been a lil busy of late, and the progression of the association has come to a little bit of a halt.

Are we still keen to do this?

DGA will be discussing whether they become associated at the next admin meeting.

someone should be an arsehole and register Darwin Gamers Association.

get your missus or friend that doesnt go to DGA events to do it so they dont know the name.

But yeah, i think we should... and we should at least get sponsorship from parmalat (pauls coca cola) for just the clan.

Or keep it and begin holding our own better comps at their lans and slowly take them over

The above is a joke do not take it seriously. DGA is cool and has good admins.

Joke or not I am sure some of us are thinking it. The problem though with taking them over completely, have you seen how much time they spend not playing games. I would rather help them out with bringing our own equipment and perhaps supplying prizes etc.

i say, the more associations, etc.. the better.. we can hold seperate lans.. and combined lans.

e.g. we could help them out with EVO.

after we are extablished we could talk to them seriously about holding alternate lans..

they hold a lan in august.. we hold a lan in september...

we can help each other rather than hinder.. and combine maybe twice a year for an EVO style event.

    thoughts?

As far as i can read into that.. DGA "Officials" as they call themselves, are going to elect each other into the positions they want.. and it's just going to be as shit as it is now. Once they have made their application for an association (keep our eyes on the paper i suppose) i'm going to kick up a huge fucking stink about becoming a member and being involved in democratic elections, not some idiots on a power trip.

If they wont let me. Then i'm going to refuse to join their little club and i'm going to try convince others to do the same.
