Thread: Sigh... Another DGA comp

Well that was another DGA Comp stuff with the COD

But The great thing is thanks to morb's we are now incharge of a DC comp at the DGA27.

Now who is going to help organise it.

Here is the list which I will change if needed

Lets keep it small (say 5 ppl)

Morbs
Mungus

This doesn't mean that others can's have input but when theres end decisions on Maps etc these ppl can have a mini vote to sort is out with out a really long drawn out conversation.

Aim is for a 12 vs 12 comp, minium of 4 teams, round robbin comp

Round One
1 v 2
3 v 4

Round Two
1 v 3
2 v 4

Round Three
1 v 4
2 v 3


Each round is the same map twice, so each team gets oppoistion and Colilation

Ticket wise and such are there suggestions.

Points per round as per point difference with a 50 (good idea?) point bonus for winning the round.

Total points creates ladder.

Then 1st v 2nd for Title
and 3rd vs 4th for wooden spoon. (lets get a reall wooden spoon ingraved)

Shall will search the web for a New DC map that can be the Title map so that its a true play off.

We will need 3 servers, Tommo will provide one, TN1 (I assume) so we just need one last server.

Also lets get this ICDU Assoc off the ground and I will get some sponsership for the Comp (or try to anyways) so that there can be a cash prise (that will get interest up).

First we need to send an Email to Rec to confirm what I discussed with him...to get it in writing

ill help.. i rekon have teams of 6 or 8 cause 5 is too small and cause all the maps are big.. we want some action... i rekon we have a couple of slut teams made up on the day.. with burks help..(cause he can orgnises that stuff by yelling out.. and he can stuff it up ) we have it so we play both ops and col and we play everyone that enters the comp.. (not like icdu played twice and were in the finals.. tell we challenged rec and then we played nameless clan)

but yeah i think we can do it..
i wanna make some strats before we play , cause this will be like a prac for our ga ladder comps...

Longtom was great with the Strats Last time, I'll have ten cents worth too...

12 vs 12 would be pushing it. maybe 10 vs 10 or 8 vs 8

The thing is there will be maybe one other team that has decent players in it. The rest will just be crappy. Its just getting boring fighting teams which we can completely own if where playing properly.

Its so anoying getting in jet hunting down someone flyign something only to watch them crash before you even fire and also watching people try to shoot moving tanks by aiming at the tank and not infront of it. Although i know use will be able to get the comp going, Is it really worth it if there is no competition?

That said. It might just spark some more interest in the game and playing against 1 decent team should be fun. Although having 12 vs 12 with at leats 4 teams will be hard to get.

Also no bagging DGA comps or assoc in public forums as it will not help our case.. to run this comp..
