Well after much phucing around and many text conversations with P-air about a strange Gigabyte Glich I have managed to set up a SCSI Raid0 on the Gigabyte 8KNXP Ultra -(Ultra 320 SCSI)

    1. If you wish to see it working (feel free to just check it out) it will be at the DGA.

    2. If you are thinking of setting it up one day, pls contact me as its a bitch to get the LAN port working for some reason..

    Many Thanks to P-air....

Special Considerations: Using a RAID 0 array without backing up any changes made to its data at least daily is a loud statement that that data is not important to you.

Recommended Uses: Non-critical data (or data that changes infrequently and is backed up regularly) requiring high speed, particularly write speed, and low cost of implementation. Audio and video streaming and editing; web servers; graphic design; high-end gaming or hobbyist systems; temporary or "scratch" disks on larger machines

Yeh, I got over 300 gig for storage on ATA drives, so the Raid0 issue isnt really an issue.

But a point to note is that the SCSI drives on a whole should be more relaiable than the ATA on a quality issue.

SO even the Raid0 maybe a better longer term storage option than a ATA drive.
