Plus Shafted LAN has agreed to run the Victorian leg of the Cyber Athletes Professional League Qualifier for Quake 3 on behalf of PING. The finalist of this event will qualify for the Australian National Qualifier in Perth, Western Australia. They will receive free airfare and accomodation to compete in Perth and a chance to qualify for the CPL Championship Finals, taking place December 16-20, 2006 in Dallas, Texas.

Game1 ticket holders gain full entry to the Autosalon car show free for 2 days (a ticket to the Autosalon on it's own would cost $22 for one day). You can get your hands on the Ninetendo Wii for the first time and there will be an Xbox Tournament on as well.
Tickets are only $22, but if you can get your hands on a brochure you get in for $15. That has to be the cheapest, best value for money Lan party this country has seen! You must be registered to participate. To register, simply go to http://game1.autosalon.org and follow the instructions. Any questions you have can be answered on the forums. Grand scale advertising has just begun and places are filling fast and there is under 2 weeks til the event so be quick because you can miss out if you don't register.
This event is byoc (Bring your own computer). Start practicing and come and see what old school Gaming is all about!!!!!!
