Thread: Landed Opinons???

i came on (internet) a couple of hours after i got home after LANDED and there was no feed back so id thought id make one

WEll i loved the landed PLENTY off space, air con, sleeping stuff, trollies for comp gear, close to subway and mackers, good network setup, tables chairs, etc

AND we even had the human punching bag up :P

Yup! I was certainly the best Lan ever next to the Octa4 Lan. ^_^ If that had the connection to the Internet... DAMN SWEET!!! The room was for lack of a better word, PERFECT for Lans! ^O^

Fantastic venue, fantastic fun. Although I was a little disapointed with the lack of organisation in terms of the so-called CS and Q3 comps that were meant to take place.

I was very impressed with it all, apart from not really been able to play anything apart from CS or DOD (although I ROCK in dod!) hehe

all in all...5 outta 5
well worth my 20 bucks...just wish I coulda stayed longer

Well what can i say. Well done and thanks to everyone who turned up. The LAN was great fun and the attendance was pretty high.

I think what made the LAN was the venue, so much space and a good a/c system.

The few problems that were had will hopefully be solved by next LANded, such as the tourneys and the thieves (some people are so desperate they are stealing CDR's at LAN's. wankers...). I will sit down with layoric the day before the next event and we will work out the tourneys and such.

Also we are looking forward to sponsorship for the next event so you can look forward to prizes if you win :P and hopefully the attendance will be higher next time which means more glittering prizes and prize money, and a smaller entry fee.

Once again thanks to everyone that attended =)

BTW: look forward to seeing an even better LANded site in the next few weeks

my comps controls were changed and screenes taken (AHEM RECOIL) yeah but who ever changed my control were dumb i use asdw controls not the arrowy things SO LOL @ REC

Certainly aggree with that!
Congrats to Layoric on a well put together LAN noght and securing a sweet venue. Cost was a little high all round but more people = less cost so put the word out. Plus i rekon we could get sweeter deals the more we hold and the more we advertise thier sweet hotel and its rates and prices (maybe).

LANDED was gr8 ... I loved it most on 32 Player CS... whada riot !!! We gotta have more of those 32 or even 40 player CS (I hope there's a server there that can handle it).

No space probs too, lights were alright and the air con was really kewl (I had to put on my jacket that night!)

The higher price tag seemed to be rather stiffer but I think its all worth it.

30 round clips of MP5... I know there's a 200 rounder there but its just a bit faster firing like a UMP.

I wish there's an SD3, 4, 5, and 6 version of the MP5...

And how about the Israeli Galil-SAR, and the British LA-85 Mk5, or the French FAMAS, and the SMG version of the famous Steyr Bullpup, the Russian AK-74, Russian Kalishnikov SMG... We need to ask Valve software to
have expand and extend the list of aresenals used.
