Thread: It's coming...

People, it's been settled, I'm going to host a Lan in the holidays mid this year. It'll more then likely go from 4 days to a week.

Unlike the other Lans around the place, this one will have a maximum of 250 people, and will require a LOT of organisation.

Why am I saying all this? Well, I need some people to help me in this area. I'm looking for probably 4 or 5 other people other then myself.

At the moment the cost of attending the Lan will be about 25 dollars. It's expensive, but these costs will cover rentals for tables, locality, and electricity, also a money prize.

Who would be interested in this Lan, and who would be interested in assisting with the preperation?

PS. Due to the large number of people, including people from other states AND possibly over seas, I will see if I can get lockers for personal items.

For a 250 person lan in Darwin, Mid-year seems a bit rushed....

I think that 4 months is plenty of time to organise it. If some people are willing to help. I've made nothing official apart from being mid this year really. If I can't get people helping me with it in the next two weeks, then it'll probably end up being a no go. I need people also to help with sponsorship. If we get some good ones, then that'll be good, as the prizes may include the latest graphics cards, or even motherboards and CPU's. ^O^

250 player LAN in Darwin? It would be a *miracle* to get half that many.

Sounds like a good idea tho, a really good LAN with a large attendance would be good...but aim for something a bit more realistic...say 80.

ASH TECH will be selling cat5 there if we decide to make an appearance.
I donno if Tech Support will be for free though if it goes for longer then a day but you would have to clarify that with MortaR himself.
