Don't get too worked up yet about this yet, nothing is official, but I'm working on it in most of my spare time...

There is a strong possiblilty I will be leading a LAN project including various other NT LAN organisers that will take place v.late september/early october, or possibly as late as the 20th of December.

Anyways, if we get the green light there will be 12 Gateway tournament machines (the usual 256 RDRAM, 1.4GHz P4, 19", GF2 Ultra), not to mention $1500 in cash prizes for CS and Q3...

The tournaments will be scheduled out (in hour blocks).
CS early Sat, CS final early Sun. Q3 mid Sun, Q3 final late Sun.
People will not only need to register them selves, but the clan they are playing for at the LAN, with participants. If your clan isn't registered, then your clan doesn't play.
Like-wise, if you don't sign up for Q3, you don't play.
BYO computer capacity will be 150.

    CS 1st Prize: $500
    CS 2nd Prize: $300
    CS 3rd Prize: $200

    Q3 1st Prize: $250
    Q3 2nd Prize: $150
    Q3 3rd Prize: $100

That's without the free merchandise/vouchers and everything else that will be up for grabs. The LAN will undoubtably be NT's first AusGamers LAN, support by the DGA crew.
Entrance will be anywhere between $15 and $25, it has not been decided yet.

Just a suggestion (for this or any future LAN) - how about some other prizes for something other than 1st, 2nd 3rd (as well as those, of course)? That way, people who know they're not so good at CS/Q3 will be interested in competing anyway? Of course, we (I mean, "they") would get eliminated early on, so it wouldn't bog down the comp, but it would generate a greater level of interest amongst us (I mean, "them") players who aren't members of Pantheon, or totally suck at Q3.
    Thoughts?

Sif I'll be able to go! And even so, Sif I'd win anything! Can't we just give Pantheon, Shannow, Decado and the other guy I can't remember their prizes now and not have all the fuss of a LAN :P

Yep... thats kewl... I'lll make a thread on NT Clans so clan leaders can register there, so I can work out a round robin competition... the more clans there are, the more wars you'll play.

No need, the registration proccess will be automated via PHP forms, when the time comes.

There will possibly be the need for people to pay via credit card on the form - As we can't have any 'no shows', as it would throw the entire time-table out of wack.

We shouldn't need to take those extreme measures, but don't rule anything out.

And also dont consider this LAN as set in rock - The chance of even getting something of this standard launched in Darwin is very shakey.
