You know, with arcades all gone and relegated to butt poking machines and pachinko (think japanese), wouldn't it be cool if in the next lan we had ....

AN OLD STYLE ARCADE GAME COMPETITION

    it would be great.

we could have games ranging all the way from street fighter 2 to king of fighters 19xx to more modern ones...like ahem...tekken 4

yeah i know, wishful thinking from me, but i'd reeeeallllly love to see it happen. and naturally, i'd be at the front of the line for any challengers...

errr anybody out there think its a bad or good idea... wheee i'll await for the flaming now..mwahahahahahaah

oooh yeah, if you've guessed by now, yeah, i'm the dude that's brings the playstation 2 in all the time...

That would be cool. Ive been playing Street Fighter since i was old enough to move the chair over to the arcade machine and stand up . But I havent played a human opponent (besides my friends who suck ass and are forced by me to play) in like 4 years thanks to the pos arcade situation in darwin

Ive got a Dreamcast with an Arcade stick and SF Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III double impact (SF3 1 & 2) and can probobly get Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Just need another arcade stick and we could have some matches

But like I said i havent played anyone in ages and Im probobly so far out of the loop now and I would suck ass

    But Im willing to try.

    *boo* tekken su><ors hehe ;p

If you want a good 3D fighter I will bring the best. SOUL CALIBUR!!!!

Halo lan would be sweet. Ive played it link up with 8 ppl, but maybe we might want to keep it to just arcade games? Although if there isnt a PC lan happening might need Halo lan for something else to play.

hmmm emulators were on my mind at first....

but then i got thinking, you don't get that same person next to you feel...

(ie - brain dances philosophy of trash talking while fighting one on one... )

consoles i say are the way. (hmm should i bring my super nes for street fighter 2??? heh heh)

so..oh great lan organisers...what do you think of a console tourney...

ooh yeah, brain dance...i'll give you a go on 2002...i haven't played much on it though so you'll probably have the edge...if we fight now that is... just you wait till i sharpen my skills...mwahahahahahahah

one more thing. i've never actually touched an x box before... and with my experience with fps gameson consoles, my conclusion is that they're all horrible. is there something so good about halo????[/quote]

How about Timesplitters 2? I know the Xbox version supports system link play. From what I've seen of Halo it only runs at 30fps whereas TS2 runs at 60fps. Plus I own the game so that should give me some advantage apart from the controller.

    Halo = Vehicles. hehehe
Ive played some TS2, mate owns it. We were really looking forward to its release. Its good but it doesnt have the same "oh Id love to play strangers at this game" thing. But thats for me anyway.
