Is it possible to sell off Steam games?

I've had a look online and it doesn't seem to be encouraging, but although Steam officially say you can't that doesn't mean there isn't some sneaky way to do it, I guess.

Bottom line is that I've decided I don't like BFBC2 all that much and would like to recoup some of the US$70 I spent on it. Is there anyway to transfer my key to someone else?

    Making a difference.

I'm willing to give it a go, though the only option I think you could do is to ask support to convert your purchase to a gift so you can gift it to somebody for cash. Though the agreement when you clicked 'ok' to purchase the steam game stated very clearly that you could only use the software with steam. I will find it somehwere on there.

You can sell your Steam account. It's not actually allowed by Steam, but people do it anyway. Some dude got like $1000 USD for his 100+ game collection recently.

Alternatively, wait for some UK digital reseller to start up over the next year. They're creating agreements with all of the main DD platforms to resell digital copies.

    From the Steam web site:

    1. REGISTRATION AND ACTIVATION.
You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account.

You do understand, that if you purchase a steam account its within Steam right to close that account down due a violation of the agreement? Though you seem to be under the opinion that when you click the "I Agree" you're not agreeing to a contract but the one that you make up in your head.

Now that contract can be interpreted differently depending on the country's Law, though why open yourself up to that kind of situation?

And unfortunately for STEAM, they would have no fucking idea that it's been sold; unless reported by its owner.

And as for the original question - Yes you can sell off your games, but because they are associated to a STEAM account; you're technically selling said account. There are those that claim to create new steam accounts for every game they purchase; for that very reason. However I couldn't see that being feasible.

Hmm... right. Well I'm not selling off my entire account for the sake of getting rid of one game. Guess it's just going to have to be mothballed!

just go view the CD key for the game and sell the CD key... tell the person on the other end to d/l a torrent of it and install it that way.
