Thread: Stargate Universe

This long weekend had some time to kill so watch online the remaining episodes up till episode 11. Though the original thoughts still stay there about them kill off characters is waaaay to early in the series to make too much of a drastic effect on the viewer because they have no time to actualy realate to the actor or his/her story. The whole issue with the stones is kind of pointless.

Other than that, I'm actually starting to enjoy StarGate Universe. Though the character development and acting is improving by leaps and bounds. The background to the characters are starting to be woven together very nicly, and a lot of the complete bull shit that happend in StarGate SG1 is gone thank fuck.

Overall, I think this overtakes the original SG1 and atlantis and sits inbetweem Voyager, SG1, and Battlestar. Looking forward to the next aired episodes in the states.

special effects department has sure been delivering. nice of them to start with an alien race that ISN'T a dude in a suit.

Got to say, the last 3-4 episodes have been a complete turn around for me. My original complaint about them killing people too early on in the series have been fixed by them not killing people! The new episodes have more of a focus right now and a goal to trying to hack into the ships main core systems, where previously it was like "omg we're stopping on this planet for only couple of hours".

Seems to me the actors are now getting used to their roles and the inter personal relationship on the ship. You can start to see that they're starting to put more of themselves into the characters with how they react to situations with more concern about each other. Though still some laughable movements when they don't get it 100% correct.

Other than huge plot holes and inconsistent writing, how and why things occur. If you sit down as an Old Stargate fan I don't think your going to be disappointed anymore with the new series.
