    You would effectively have 2 lanes of merging traffic for one, that won't end well, think pit lane exit but at race speeds and when you're right in amongst the pack.

    "Shortcuts" as a real-racing concept is stupid. This isn't fucking Mario Kart.

    Yes, it will cause more crashes. But only the bogans want that. The real fans want to see real racing.
