Thread: Louis C.K. stars in "Louie" - new TV series starting June 29th 2010

Psyched about this one: Louie (2010): Series Info

For those who don't know who he is:

Standup comedian Louis C.K. had some harsh words for Pope Benedict XVI on 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11Pm Et on Com). When Jon Stewart tried to tone things down, C.K. did make a valid point.

"The Pope [beeps] boys," said C.K. Stewart responded, "I don't think that that's true."

"Well, he lets other people do it," clarified C.K. "My feeling is this. There's only two kinds of people: There's people who are horrified and reviled by child touching with penises and then there's the people who can't stop having sex with children. There's no in between. There's nobody who's like, 'I don't do it, but I get it.'"

First episode was rather shithouse.

Second episode starts awkward, but is way better than the first.

Will check it out still. Won't hold my hopes too high though...

Episode 3 is a big improvement. Actually enjoyed it. Ricky Gervais is in it - a segment in the middle, and after credits.

The 4th has that short brunette lady from Californication in it. I'm starting to get the feeling there will be lots of comedy-cameos throughout the series.

I've only watched the first two. Episode 2 (the one with the bus breaking down) wasn't funny to watch but would be hilarious as a stand up routine, so I'm not sure his writing is transitioning well to TV.

The second was the better of the first two episodes, but they were both bad. Cringe material.

Nice spot. Grabbing that now.

Things have really turned out quite good by the end of the first season. It's on a gradual incline.

If it gets picked up for a second, I have high hopes.

Louie has been renewed for a second season.
