Gorillaz will be making their long awaited live debut in Australia & New Zealand in December 2010. With their 2010 headline performances at Glastonbury & Coachella featuring appearances from the full Gorillaz entourage including Bashy, De La Soul, Mick Jones & Paul Simonon (The Clash), Kano, Little Dragon, Mos Def, National Orchestra for Arabic Music, Gruff Rhys, Shaun Ryder and Bobby Womack, we can?t wait to see who?ll be making the journey to Australia?

Playing songs from all three of their critically acclaimed albums (Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach) this landmark arena tour will include a dynamic production featuring multi-media video animation, artwork and film. As Murdoc says ?A phantasmagoria of sounds, colours and assaults on the senses.?

While I'm definitely a fan of their music; I don't much dig their live gigs.

The point of live is to see a band play and sing...seems kinda lame to go to a "live" event which is all computers and screens anyway >.>

It's not like I'm going to see Daft Punk, at least this crowd sing.

Sure there will be a lot of backing tracks and MIDI's etc but sometimes the light and screen shows can lift the songs to another level.

Admittedly no, but I have watched a couple.
While I admit that actually being their live is different to watching a DVD; I just didn't find myself interested in the video of the performance, only the sound.

Daft Punk however (as it was mentioned earlier); I will watch their live performances over and over purely for the light show (and music of course).

I like some of their video clips, but that's about it.
